Good morning
Our schedule here is one of early to bed and early to rise. I woke up to the taunting of a crazed rooster who seems to have lost his watch. It is 5:30 AM and life has already started. Yesterday is already a blur of activity. Karen, our interpretor went outside the gate to exchange money for us. It was probably not a good thing for us to show our white faces on the street. At the least, the exchange rate might have gone up. It rained so hard while she was gone that I thought we would be washed away. WHen Karen didn't come back, I was very concerned. The laborers worked through the rain, carrying garbage and would through knee deep "water." Karen finally made itback and paid the trash guys. We cought them dumping our trash in the newly formed river, so did we just contribute to the litter down the hill? It is the way I am told. We are all safe a well fed, and the pool is a welcome sight at the days end. We got to spend some time with the boys yesterday, and that makes everything worthwhile.
